Belarus Support Program (BSP) "Breaking Frontiers" is implemented by Dortmund International Education Center in cooperation with Johannes Rau Minsk International Education Center on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
The main priorities of the 9th stage of the Support Program for Belarus in 2019–2022 are:
- An Inclusive and Equitable Society;
- Localization of the Sustainable Development Goals;
- Green transition and digital transformation;
- Development of systems for monitoring and evaluating effects in the context of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
From October 1, 2019 to April 15, 2020, a call for project proposals was held as part of the 9th stage of the Belarus Support Program in 2019–2022. The main goal of the competition is to contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Belarus.
The first stage of the competition: submitting a draft of the project - was held from October 1 to December 1, 2019. During this time, 150 sketches of project proposals were received at the address of the PPB. The second stage of the competition was held from January 30 to March 15, 2020. At this stage, the authors of 27 sketches selected at the first stage prepared the full form of the project application and the entire package of accompanying documents to it. From March 16 to April 15, the submitted project proposals were considered and the best of them were selected. As a result, 20 projects were selected for financing, which must be implemented by 12/31/2021.
External experts from Germany, specialists from the Dortmund International Educational Center and its Representative Office in Belarus, employees of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) participated in the evaluation of the projects.

The new, already 9th stage should be a logical continuation of the previous stage, the results of which were presented at of the final conference "Crossing Borders: Partnership for the Future", held in Minsk on March 20-21, 2019. More information about Stage 8 can be found in the relevant brochure.< /p>

Eight stages have been successfully implemented since the start of the Belarus Support Program: the pilot stage in 2002, the second stage of the Program in the period from 2003 to 2004, the third stage in 2005-2006, the fourth stage from 2007 to 2008 , fifth in 2009-2011, sixth in 2012-2014, seventh in 2014-2016 and eighth in 2016-2019. Thus, for more than 17 years, the Belarus Support Program has been implementing its activities to stimulate and support positive changes in Belarus.
